My daughter started he period today and is complaining that when she wipes it stings but dosnt sting during urination, what is this she is only 11?

Menses: at 11 yrs, it sounds like she is getting her first period.
There can be stinging with bleeding and discomfort with cramping. She can take Tylenol or Advil for this (or Midol, Pamprin). If she develops pain on urination, or emesis, fevers, she should have a urine sample taken to the lab by the pedi MD to review.
