A member asked:

I stopped having period a year ago, because weight loss, i had a negative pregnancy test 18 days after sex with condom, woud that result be accurrate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: Urine pregnancy tests rely on chemicals made by the developing fetal/embryonic mass of cells.Early in pregnancy they may not achieve a high enough level to turn the test positive. An early morning urine is more concentrated and thus more likely to be accurate, but it may bee too soon. Test again in a week.
