Athlete's foot?: My first thought for this, sight-unseen of course, would be athlete's foot, which is fungal infection which appears in those whose feet are moist and warm from activity, such as playing football. It does have the appearance of peeling skin. To treat, antifungal cream. To prevent, well-ventilated footwear and baby powder in the socks.
