PMS: Shortness of breath is a well-documented symptom of the Pre Menstrual Syndrome (PMS). It is annoying, but usually clears after menses. It often gradually diminishes after childbirth. If that's the in,y time you get it, it probably is related to PMS. It is probably a reactive airway reaction to the hormone surge, and resembles asthma in that regard, but is not dangerous.
