Two thoughts.: First, being that Pepcid is not the greatest treatment for acid reflux, it could be that you have reflux that is undertreated, in which case a PPI-type medication like Prevacid or Protonix may work better. Second, this may not be acid reflux at all - could be gastritis or a gallbladder issue, for example. Diagnosis may need to be confirmed with some directed testing.
