My doctor prescribed 800mg of skelaxin (metaxalone) 3 times a day and also told me to take 2 aleve with it for a bad neck strain. how far apart should i take this? is 6 aleve in a day ok?

Too much aleve (naproxen): Twice a day as prescribed is the dose for aleve (naproxen), (naproxen) otherwise you run the risk of G.I. Bleeding.You can take aleve (naproxen) and skelexine in the morning and at bedtime. The third dose of skelexine you can take midday.

OK: Six aleve (naproxen) a day in generally ok. I would suggest 2 tabs which each meal. Always take aleve (naproxen) with food.
