Viral Vs bacterial: Viral pharyngitis can also cause similar symptoms initially. with strep , fever is expected. If symptoms are not getting better then get evaluated for strep. Remember that strep throat may also gets better in 3 days ( like viral infection) but it should be treated to prevent complications.
