Nobody knows: Haven't seen any research studies analyzing the spread of Type 2 Herpes through the use of turkey basters to aid in conception of a child. Doubt there will be any such studies in the future. In general, if a person is a worrier, leave the turkey basters in the kitchen. If more laid back and not a worrier, one might chat with the donor and his doctor together to suppress any virus prior to basting.
