Pink eye: The chance is small and don't be shy about telling him not to spit in your eye. If the eye is still troubling please have your doctor refer you to an Eye specialist. (Not fun - I broke 4 pairs of glasses at age 6 and have been taking care of my eyes till now - age 72.)

Small. Our eyes get: exposed to microbes every day but they have the ability to ward off infection most of the time. Even a direct hit from someone's saliva bacteria is unlikely to cause infection. Only direct contact or transfer from your hands to your eyes causes a risk of pinkeye. Dr. Anne
