I had sex 9 days before ovulation. will i get pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: Sperm can live in the female genital tract for about 5 days so if you really did not ovulate for 9 days after the encounter you will probably not become pregnant. However, if you are having unprotected sex there is always a chance of pregnancy so start a prenatal vitamin and check a pregnancy test if you miss a period. Alternately using a form of birth control would be best to avoid pregnancy.
