A member asked:

Bupropion xl,sr both make it hard to fall asleep. can i take 100mg-ir 3times every 4hours (the last dose at 3pm) so the effect subsides by 10pm?

Are you taking in AM: I have found most of my patients don't have problems falling asleep if they take their dose first thing in the morning. If that still causes you problems, use of the immediate release bupropion may be helpful, but am not sure that it would "wear off" even if you took the last dose at 3 PM. Your prescriber and your pharmacist are the best consultants on these questions - ask one or both of them.
