PDD, NOS: a previous: diagnostic category. Pervasive developmental disorder (PDD) described a group of disorders with delayed language development and deficits in social interaction. NOS refers to "Not Otherwise Specified" meaning a person's condition did not meet full criteria for a specific condition. We now refer to these disorders as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
