A member asked:

Hi i have a question, should i be worried if i have more white blood cells than red? a 408 platelet count and an imm gran% of .2%?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Leukocytosis: You should have many more red cells than white cells in your complete blood count. You may be anemic. Abnormally elevated white blood cell counts are seen in leukemia and bacterial infections.Your platelets are slightly higher than the normal limit. Immature granulocytes in peripheral blood smears are of concern. A hematologist is best qualified to evaluate a blood dyscrasia and your findings.
