Injury to the tfcc: The triangular fibrocartilage is a small cartilage structure located on the small finger side of the wrist. It is composed of several distinct anatomical structures and is often referred to as the triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC). A TFCC injury means an injury to any or all of the distinct anatomical components that make up the TFCC.

TFCC Injury: The Triangular fibrocartilage complex(TFCC) is like the meniscus of your wrist. It sits between the distal radius and distal ulna to support the carpal bones. Like the meniscus in your knee - it can be torn. A TFCC injury or tear can be treated with immobilization, pain medications, and possibly cortisone injections or surgery to debride or repair the tear - depending on the location and extent.
