Old blood: Old blood looks dark brown or black. Sounds as if your periods are fairly light. Are you taking hormones? Ask your doctor about the cause.

Does your period change as you get older? Why? Mine has gotten heavier over the past few years. It used to be super light. It fills about a third of a diva cup and is dark red at first, brown at end. Tests/ scans to test for abnormalities all clear?
