Parotid gland: The parotid gland is the largest in the face and lies right in front of the ear then extends inferiorly to the area behind the ear. The facial nerve runs right through the gland. It secretes serous saliva more than mucous. It can have infections, blocked ducts, benign and malignant tumors.
