A member asked:

Help!all my symptoms point to meningitis yet my neuro won't let me undergo lumbar tap. can't i just have that test to have meningitis truly ruled out?

See an internist: Meningitis is an acute infection so ongoing symptoms are not caused by meningitis usually. See an internist--not a neurologist to see the cause of the symptoms.

Insufficient data: Your question cannot be answered because you have not stated what your symptoms actually are. If you are actually interested in an answer, please repost. I must say that you are the first person I've ever encountered who actually WANTS a lumber tap. Most people are terrified of them.
