Visual agnosia is an impairment in recognizing visually presented objects despite normal visual acuity and visual fields, normal color vision and brightness, normal discrimination, normal language and normal memory. Patients can recognize objects using other sensory modalities (example touch). Tactile agnosia-difficulty recognizing objects by touch but intact ability to name by sight
