What is the definition or description of: erysipelas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Strep skin infection: Streptococcus usually causes this. Unlike a cellulitis, an erysipelas tends to have a sharp border, be firm, and to extend into the lymphatics making red lines extending from the main lesion.
