Heart Attack: A heart attack, also known as a myocardial infarction, is a condition of a sudden blockage of blood flow down a coronary artery, resulting in a part of heart muscle not receiving blood flow. This heart muscle that is affected becomes damaged/infarcted. Ideally, flow is restored as quickly as possible to reduce damage.
