I have a uti and the doctor mentioned it was the morganella bacteria. is this common? i am prone to uti's. but usually e.coli.

No speical meaning: A large number of bacteria -- usually in the category called Gram negative -- can cause UTI. Almost all originate in the GI tract. E coli is the most common cause overall, but 20+ others collectively cause 20-40% of infections. The likelihood of a less common bacteria rises with increasing episodes and previous antibiotic treatment. Your Morganella probably has no special significance.
