Suffer from lpr symptoms but reflux, allergy and infection meds not done anything. physical exams clear. thinking of elavil (amitriptyline) and gabaplentin for lsn?

GI consult: LPR often requires twice daily dosing of the PPI. If the problem is from bile , Carafate (sucralfate) may be more effective. If the problem is resistant to medical treatment , surgery may be needed. Elavil would not do much for you and may in fact worsen the LPR.
