If a person is : diagnosed with a terminal illness, by definition, s/he doesn't have a "long long time" to live. Put another way, a doctor wouldn't use the term "terminal illness" if s/he thought the patient could live "a long long time." However, exercise, proper treatment & diet, advances in medical care and "good genes" influence the lifespan of a "terminal" patient. Best wishes. Dr. Anne.
