Higher risk: All of your risk factors together determine what your risk level. Impaired mobility is certainly a higher risk factor. Travelers typically are seated stationary in a vehicle or a plan for prolonged period of time. The fact that you are wearing a splint means you are not able to move your foot and calf like before your injury. This causes slowing/stasis of blood in the foot and can promote a clot.
