Likely muscular: Hi! Pain in this area is often due to muscle spasms of the back, however, kidney infections are also common causes. Lots of other causes to consider based on your age, any accompanying symptoms, how many days the pain has lasted, any recent injury or illness, family history... It would be a good idea to check a urine analysis and to have a doctor examine your abdomen and back.
