Postpartum hair loss: This is called telogen effluvium and is a common issue after having a baby. A higher percent of hair is in the growth phase during pregnancy. After delivery a high percent is in the shedding phase. It is annoying but not dangerous and resolves after about 6 months. Get thyroid testing done as a precaution.

Hair loss: This is probably all normal post partum. The hair follicles are sensitive to hormonal changes. If you continue with significant hair loss over 6 months, I recommend having a thyroid test done.
