A member asked:

Is ldh value of 469, when upper limit in my lab is 480, an indicative of any disease like lymphoma? or if it's still within lab norm, it's ok?

Normal: remember false positive results can occur, common in any lab, at times mishandling of specimens would lead to increased cell damage, hence false high readings. In the end we treat patients, not lab results, and LDH doesn't diagnose specific cancer, and cancer diagnosis isn't dependant on only one factor, clinical picture is more important to start with, enjoy your health

469 or 480: 469 is within lab data but if you are concerned please contact your primary doctor. More than likely you will be informed that the level is OK. Were any other lab studies done,? If so, what were the results?
