A member asked:

I got the mirena (levonorgestrel) coil out in march no periods for 5months but got a 12 day period this month is it normal and when will i be able to concieve?

Depends: When you had a long period, this may be a sign that your hormones are returning to the way they were before the Mirena (levonorgestrel). The mirena (levonorgestrel) coil suppressed the estrogen-progesterone cycle. It takes some women longer than others for the cycle to restart. If you had no problems with conception before the IUD, you can probably conceive now or within 6 months.
