Varies by disease: It’s a slight distinction, but there is not a *max* dose, as people tolerate the dose they’re on and may eventually need to take higher doses to produce the same effect. There are *recommended* upper limits. For those recommended doses: 20 mg per day for seizure disorders and 4 mg per day for panic disorder.
