A member asked:

Apparently have dysfibrinogenemea with very low blood fibrinogen. i have pain in my hamstring when i move, do i have a blood clot? i'm scared i'll die

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not a clot: If the hamstring is tender. Leg pain from a deep vein thrombus doesn't center on the muscle; it's deeper. Measure leg circumferences with a tape measure to reassure yourself. Most dysfibrinogenemia patients with low but nonzero fibrinogen don't get problems. For a teen especially, you're doing a good job educating yourself. Keep it up.
