Irregular periods: Irregular periods are very common. Weight changes, hormonal fluctuations, thyroid disease, elevated Prolactin and many others can cause this. Consider seeing an Obgyn to determine if testing is needed. Birth control can often be used to regulate the cycles.

Not ovulating: It sounds like you have delayed ovulation and it's going to take longer to get your period. Your ovulation can be delayed for many reasons: stress, endocrine problems (thyroid), other medications, weight gain, etc. You should see your doctor for an evaluation. At a minimum, you should have a period every 3 months. This can be induced with 10 days of progesterone (by prescription) every 3 months.
