My son is on intuniv 3mg has been since feb. he sometimes falls asleep in class. is this still a side effect since he has been taking it for awhile?

Side effect: Intuniv usually can cause sleeplessness. It can however, cause sleepiness. The fact that your child is getting over the flu may be aggrevating his sleepiness you may want to discuss his problem with your pediatrician.

Side Effect: This certainly can be a side effect of Intuniv and you may have to change the time given. Some people giving it at bedtime, for example. It is a 24-hour medication so can be given any time. The dose may need adjusting down. See your child psychiatrist or family/pediatric physician
