What are the drug interactions between breo and coreg (carvedilol)?

Dr. John Chiu answered

Potential: Breo has a long acting beta agonist to dilate your airways. Coreg (carvedilol) is a beta blocker which tends to act against the bronchodilator. With asthma , a cardioselective beta blocker is preferred if absolutely needed . In general, it is better to avoid using a beta blocker unless there is no better substitute.

See below: Potential for coreg to cause airway constriction. This is what is taught. However, it seems in practice, this is a much different story. I'm sure some people have had issues like this, but in my practice, I've rarely if ever, seen any problems.
