Flashes of light: is usually associated with stimulation of the retina. This can be mechanical (retinal traction, vitreous traction, retinal tear and detachment) or from vascular issues (scintillating scotoma). Typically the ophthalmologist will follow you until resolution or confidence in the diagnosis. If you have an increase in symptoms or change in vision call immediately.
