is it possible to overdose on hydrogen peroxide by applying too much to the skin over large, open wounds, at one time??

No...: Not possible to overdose, however after the initial cleansing of the wound stop use of the hydrogen peroxide. Continued use will only keep reopening the wound, preventing it from healing.
