Cyst/Abscess: You may have a pilonidal cyst or perirectal abscess. At end of the day, you are going to need a full physical exam either way. Make an appointment to see a physician in urgent care or general surgery clinic. There is a wide differential and a full history and physical exam is needed. Here is a study, warning, not for feint of heart: http://www.wjgnet.com/1007-9327/full/v22/i26/5867.htm Good luck.
