A member asked:

Can pelvic floor dysfunction in males cause a tight bladder neck? or the other way around?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chicken or egg: Unless there is another problem in addition to the urinary ones, there is no way to know. If treatment of the tight bladder neck pharmacologically improves voiding there might be an improvement in the pelvic floor dysfunction. If this occurs, one could infer that the bladder neck problem at least partially caused or exacerbated the problems with the pelvic floor.
