Alcohol and hydrogen peroxide help to reduce bacteria, but neither are effective at killing bacteria, and work more by the rubbing, washing effect, and often water and soap may be just as effective. Peroxide is used when a foaming action is needed to remove debris but is more irritating. To kill bacteria: Clorox 1 tsp/2 qts H2O
