Yes : If the antibiotics were not taken as prescribed or if it was prescribed for a shorter period than needed, the initial bacteria may not have completely cleared. As a general rule, having one infection predisposes the body to contracting another. For e.g., certain yeast infections or "stomach" infections (e.g. C. Diff).

Yes: Infections are cleared only if the antibiotic is specific for that germ. Using the wrong one may reduce the symptoms but not cure, so the infection is back in a short time. An exam with urinalysis and culture needs to be done to determine what will work best if there is still an infection. See the md and meantime drink lots of water- 10+ cups/day & avoid soda's and other kidney irritants.
