Uncomfortable.: Setting aside the risk of viral diseases (Zika, Dengue etc), your mosquito reaction is mostly an annoying condition. If you go to Costa Rica, you must use mosquito repellant containing DEET and treat your clothing with primetrine, wear long sleeve blouse and pants. Asking your family doc if he would rx a short course of prednisone if needed and bring along some antihistamine.
