Agree: I agree with your GYN, you are not going to get spontaneously pregnant at age 53, surely this is true over 99% of the time.

Unlikely to conceive: It would be extremely unlikely for you to conceive at the age of 53. 1/1000 chance or less. Are you still having regular cycles? If you've stopped having menses for the past calendar year then you're in menopause.
