Fishy smell: The most common vaginal discharge is not a yeast infection. The most common vaginal discharge is bacterial vaginosis. BV has a fishy smell and is most noticeable after sexual intercourse. You state that you had a partial hysterectomy. Was this a Supracervical Hysterectomy where they leave the cervix or do you mean they left the ovaries. You still need a yearly pap smear if you have a cervix.
