Up to 6 months: In most cases of Telogen Effluvium(TE) your hair will stop falling out and start to grow back within six months. Normally 40-100 hairs are shed/day. In TE excessive hair loss results in a widespread thinning but no bald spots. The follicles are normal. Causes include: medication, hormone changes, intense physical stress(child birth), emotional stress, crash diet, acute or chronic illness.
