Fever: Fevers are a natural body response to allergies, inflammation, and infection. Certain drugs can cause fever, as well as over the counter meds (weight loss supplements).First, recheck it. A temperature that high with no symptoms is suspect. If it remains above 101.5, take your friend to the doctor. Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen can be helpful to bring down fevers, but finding the cause is the primary goal.
