Pharyngitis: A scratchy throat is called 'pharyngitis' by doctors. The question is 'what' is causing it. Air Conditioning is often blamed, but usually it's a virus. Consider traveling-with all the crowds, airplane travel, etc. If it's still bothering you, a doctor can evaluate more thoroughly. It would be good to know also if you engaged in any 'high risk' activities while traveling-since that may help the doc
