Monitor: An isolated occurrence of such symptoms is not a significant concern. Not unusual to occasionally notice a small amount of mucus or blood associated with irritation of the rectum. Recommend continuing to monitor for any persistent change in BMs. More concerning associated sx would include persistent bleeding or passage of black tarry stools, fever, significant abdominal pain.
