YES: Also try buddy-taping with 4th-5th toes. If you have an old pair of sneakers, cut out the area at the level of the 4th-5th metatarsals. Try Advil OR Aleve (naproxen) if not allergic to these NSAIDS.

Fracture: Be careful, a fracture at the base of the 5th metatarsal sometimes has a high rate of poor healing. Make sure and orthopedist sees your xray and confirms this treatment is OK
