In kidney disease or kidney failure what color of urine is produced, white, pale yellow or dark urine?

Since: one effect of kidney failure is inability of the organ to "concentrate" urine a light color is more common. If however there is loss of blood via the failing kidney (as in glomerulonephritis (infection) the urine can be "smokey" or "dark in color! Hope this helps! Dr Z
