Pain: Middlesmertz is pain at mid cycle. It is common, but should not be intense or worsening. If these symptoms are new it is a sign that your ovary is larger is producing symptoms. I would say that the symptoms would be worth having your OB provider take a look at.

It is normal: to have some discomfort (an, in fact many women have some "spotting" as well! Hope this helps BTW There is no connection with ovarian cysts! Dr Z
