Dry skin or tinea.: We cannot make a specific diagnosis without an exam, however, what you describe can be caused by dry skin, allergic dermatitis, or tinea cruris. Start by using a hypoallergenic moisturizer and keeping the area dry between showers. If itchiness persists, try using antifungal cream for jock itch.
